A Fear of Touch book
Brief: Design the layout and produce a book for 'A Fear of Touch' written by Katharine Lazenby.
Soloution: The content of the story I was visualising was about a person who had an extreme phobia about physical contact. To represent and subvert this message I wrote the book up by hand using carbon paper. By using carbon paper every move and pressure I made whilst hand writing was mapped over the pages. This created a striking and interesting aesthetic. I also hand bound the books in a special hand made paper that degraded when touched, this further enforced the message of the story.
